Job Summary

Our client, a prestigious full-service law firm, is seeking an Employee Benefits Paralegal to join their downtown Tampa office. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with matters involving qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements.

  • Support compliance projects related to retirement plans and employee benefits regulations.

  • Prepare, review, and organize legal and administrative documents.

  • Maintain accurate records and assist with ongoing plan administration and compliance activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with retirement plans, either as a paralegal or with a third-party plan administrator or recordkeeper.

  • QKA or QKC certification is preferred.

  • Familiarity with compliance matters related to retirement plans and/or health and welfare benefit plans.

  • Experience with health and welfare benefits and/or executive compensation plans is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Professional demeanor with a client-service mindset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience with ASCi plan document generation systems is preferred but not required.
