1. Introduction

Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and disclose the Personal and Non-Personal Data we collect from and about you when you access or use our online and/or mobile websites, applications, services, and software, interactions with us on the phone or in person, or that we obtain from publicly available sources or third-party sources. Our purpose is to help attorneys get great jobs and to help employers identify talented attorneys. This Privacy Policy includes Attorney Jobs mobile application, attorneyjobs.us website and zeregaconsulting.com website.

 

2. Who is responsible for your information?

Zerega Consulting is responsible for your information.

 

3. What information do we collect about you?

Across our platforms we collect information you choose to provide to us such as your contact details, resume details, job preferences; and your activity on our platforms such as searches you run or jobs you click. 

 

4. Why do we collect this information?

We collect and use your information to help Job Seekers find jobs, to help Employers find candidates, and to provide and improve our services to you. To summarize, we use your Personal Data, where applicable, to create your account and send you notifications; provide you relevant search results and job recommendations; facilitate communication as part of the job search, application and interview process; provide your resume to third parties(only when permission is granted by you); match Job Seekers with Employer Job Listings; prevent fraud, spam and other potentially fraudulent or illegal activities; enhance and optimize our services and security for Job Seekers and Employers by data sharing with prequalified third party service providers;

improve our services, maintain product quality, and protect users.

 

5. Who is this information shared with?

Your information could be shared with:

 

Employers 

Only when instructed by the Job Seeker, Zerega Consulting sends Personal Data such as your resume, transcript, writing sample, etc. to Employers. Such transfers are performed in the course of the job search, application, and interview process.

 

You acknowledge that Zerega Consulting may determine whether the words of your resume match the description of certain job descriptions or resume search queries and vice versa.  As an example, Employers may instruct Zerega Consulting to help manage their candidate pool according to their requirements and preferences for the Job Listing. This may include sending updates to Job Seekers based on Employer activity, so that Job Seekers better understand the status of their candidacy or giving Employers the ability to sort and arrange their candidates for future reference.

 

If you have an active profile, you agree that we may contact you or provide a blind profile to Employers that might be interested in a person with your background and experience.

 

Third Party Service Providers

We may use third parties to perform services in connection with our operations. Situations that may call for a third-party service provider include the need to improve platformperformance, our services, products, and features, to protect our users and the users’ experiences. By using our platforms, you acknowledge and agree to Zerega Consulting’s use of such third-party service providers, including, but not limited to, the purpose of collecting, processing, analyzing, and recording your activity on, interaction with, and communications with or through our platforms.  

 

In limited situations, Zerega Consulting may be required to transfer your Personal Data to certain third-party vendors that assist with protecting our users and maintaining the quality of our services, products and features provided to those users. An example would be vendors we use for fraud detection purposes.

 

Please also be aware that we may also use third-party cloud service providers that provide hosting, data storage and other services pursuant to standard terms and conditions that may be non-negotiable. These service providers have informed us or the general public that they apply security measures they consider adequate for the protection of information within their system, or they have a general reputation for applying such measures. However, we will not be liable (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for any damages that may result from the misuse of any information, including Personal Data, by these companies.

 

6. How long do we store your information?

Zerega Consulting stores your Personal Data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until you ask us to delete your Personal Data. We may also be required to retain certain information in order to comply with local laws. If you wish to delete your Personal Data, you should submit a deletion request. 

 

7. What are your rights with respect to your Personal Data?

We take your privacy very seriously. We provide GDPR-type rights to all our users. This includes the rights to access your Personal Data; delete your Personal Data; get your Personal Data in a portable format; and to restrict or object to certain processing of your Personal Data. Where our use of your Personal Data is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw that consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority about use of your data.

 

8. Closing your account

When a Job Seeker closes an account, the Job Seeker will no longer have access to any of the data we make available under that account, including but not limited to, search history, job search preferences, saved jobs, jobs the Job Seeker has applied to, Job Alerts, Personal Profile, and any other data associated with the account. If the Job Seeker uses the same email address to set up a new account, this data from a previous account will not become available to the Job Seeker again. Please also note that closing your Job Seeker account may result in you losing access to some of our products.

 

Zerega Consulting reserves the right to keep any materials in a closed account as necessary to preserve and protect its rights to the extent permitted by law (for example, to preserve records of a dispute) or to comply with its obligations under local law (for example, if requested to retain by law enforcement). A closed account does not mean that all of the data is expunged from our system, although it will not be readily available under the Job Seeker’s original account. 

 

Such rights of rectification, objection, restriction, access, portability, and deletion are subject to certain limitations, as provided for by applicable laws. Individual requests will be completed within the time allotted by relevant regulations, which starts to run from the point of us confirming your request. Where permitted, please note there may be a charge for subsequent requests from the same individual, which will be determined by Zerega Consulting and only imposed to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you wish to make a formal request to object to or restrict the processing of your Personal Data, please contact us and request the deletion of your data.

9. Preventing Fraud and Spam

Zerega Consulting may also use information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy to help diagnose problems with the Sites and our products and services, to prevent potentially fraudulent or illegal activities, and to protect individuals from other activities that may be detrimental to you or others. We may investigate and disclose information from or about you or your use of our platforms if we have a good faith belief that such investigation or disclosure (a) is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process (including subpoenas, search warrants, court orders) and law enforcement instructions and orders; (b) is helpful to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the use of the platforms; (c) may protect our rights, reputation, property, safety, or that of the public; or (d) as necessary to meet national security requirements.

 

For example, Zerega Consulting is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission in the United States.

 

We may use a variety of methods to detect and address anomalous activity and screen content to prevent abuse such as spam or fraud. However, such detection methods are not perfect and false positives may occur. These efforts may, on occasion, result in a temporary or permanent suspension or termination of some functions for some users.

 

10. Verifying Professional Certifications and Licenses

We will authenticate professional certification(s) or license numbers that you provide in order to verify the certification or license is valid. We only perform this verification at your request when, for example, you request access to the Attorney Jobs App.

 

11. Data Security

Zerega Consulting seeks to use reasonable security measures to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Personal Data under our control. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. In addition, please note that emails, messages sent via your web browser, and other similar means of communication with other users are not encrypted. Therefore, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its security. 

 

12. Links to Third-Party Sites

Our platforms may make available links to other third-party websites. When you click on such links, you may leave ourplatforms. Your web browser may also disclose to the third-party website the URL of the Sites page you clicked from, and this URL may include search terms and filters you used on the Sites. The Sites may also make available Company Pages, which may contain information provided by third-party Employers.

Zerega Consulting is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. This includes but is not limited to the collection, use and disclosure of information by:

Third-party service providers; employers; third-party social media platforms; the maker of your device or operating system or any linked third-party website. You may have directly enforceable rights against these third parties. Please consult their specific individual privacy policies to learn more.

13. Acquisitions and Other Reorganizations

Information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy, including Personal Data, may be disclosed to one or more third parties in connection with any change of ownership or control in Zerega Consulting’s business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise), or any other reorganization or joint venture, or assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding), and any such information may be used by such third party in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Equally, information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy, including Personal Data, may be disclosed to one or more third parties in connection with any acquisition or merger carried out by Zerega Consulting of such third parties.
