Job Description:
A highly regarded global labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Orlando office. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting attorneys on complex litigation matters while contributing to a team known for delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Format briefs, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
File legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing
Proofread all documents for accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing
Maintain and update client files, both electronic and physical
Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, deadlines, and court dates
Coordinate travel arrangements for assigned attorneys
Enter, review, and revise time entries, including litigation coding where applicable
Prepare attorney reimbursements and mileage submissions
Provide professional and responsive telephone support and occasional receptionist coverage
Review vendor invoices, prepare check requests, and submit for payment
Assist with pre-bill and client billing review and submission
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma required; college degree preferred
At least five years of experience working in a law firm as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
Preferred experience with LexisNexis, PACER, ECF, Aderant, and/or Concur
Strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation processes, and court filings
Ability to prepare Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with document management systems, time entry, and e-filing platforms
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
