Job Description:
Our client, a highly respected Tampa law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys within its Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, organized, and proactive legal support professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, draft, revise, and review legal documents including petitions, declarations, bankruptcy schedules, and related filings
Process and file bankruptcy documents with federal and state courts
Maintain organized case files and properly handle confidential client information
Communicate with clients, courts, and outside parties regarding scheduling, hearings, and case matters
Monitor deadlines and case progression while keeping attorneys updated
Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings, meetings, and related proceedings
Maintain attorney calendars and coordinate scheduling logistics
Respond to client inquiries related to the bankruptcy process
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state court procedures and rules
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of prior Bankruptcy and/or Creditors’ Rights experience preferred
Knowledge of Federal and Florida court procedures strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor with strong organizational and analytical abilities
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with document management systems is a plus
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
