Our client, a boutique, results-driven litigation practice is seeking a 3–7 year litigation associate to handle complex, high-exposure property damage and construction-related matters.  This opportunity is with a growing litigation team focused on property damage, construction defect, products liability, insurance coverage disputes, and subrogation. The practice represents developers, property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, insurers, and other sophisticated clients in high-stakes matters. 


This role provides meaningful autonomy and direct responsibility for managing cases from pre-suit through resolution, including site inspections, expert coordination, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and direct client interaction. 


The position is based on Long Island, with litigation throughout Long Island, New York City, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution 

  • Handle depositions, court appearances, and motion practice 

  • Coordinate with experts and conduct site investigations

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions

  • Engage directly with clients and contribute to case strategy   


Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of litigation experience (insurance defense/property damage preferred) 

  • Admission to practice in New York

  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

  • Ability to manage an independent caseload and meet deadlines
