Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its expanding Philadelphia office. This newly created role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal to join a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and add relevant dates/information to the medical chronology

• Draft discovery motions, including Motions to Extend Discovery, Motions to Compel Discovery, and Motions to Enforce Subpoena

• Review Plaintiff's Answers to Interrogatories

• Schedule and coordinate IMEs for the plaintiff

• Utilize research software (Westlaw preferred) and other online sources

• Assist in the retention of experts

• Prepare HIPAA Authorization Forms for the Plaintiff's execution and return

• Retrieval of medical records from providers

• Follow up with providers to ensure receipt of records of the HIPAA request

• Perform Jury Verdict Searches using Westlaw

• Preparation of privilege logs

• Production of documents

Requirements

• 3+ years of defense litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

• Meticulous organizational skills and a keen attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Thorough working knowledge of and experience working in the Pennsylvania State and Federal court systems

• Knowledge of the New Jersey State court system is a plus

• Experience working under billable hour requirements

• Proficiency with legal research tools, including Westlaw, Lexis, and PACER

• Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-accredited program
