A respected and established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its dynamic team. About the Role:
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation—from case inception to resolution. You’ll manage administrative tasks, court filings, scheduling, client communications, and document preparation, ensuring every detail is handled with precision and care. What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle
Prepare, file, and serve legal documents in compliance with state court (and ideally, federal) filing requirements
Coordinate with internal departments (billing, records, conflicts, training, etc.) to move matters forward efficiently
Draft, proofread, and edit correspondence and pleadings with high attention to detail
Track attorney and client expenses and process reimbursements/payments using firm systems
Support client billing: track billable time, manage edits, calendar deadlines, and distribute invoices
Schedule court hearings and client appointments in alignment with jurisdictional rules
Monitor case deadlines and maintain organized, up-to-date case files (both digital and hard copy)
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and phone/email communications professionally
Assist in planning and coordinating business development events and special projects
Who You Are:
A legal support professional with 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
Highly organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities at once
Skilled in state court filing procedures; federal filing experience is a strong plus
An excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong proofreading skills
Comfortable working with multiple attorneys and juggling various workflows simultaneously
Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with FileSite, Aderant, CMS, or SmartTime is a bonus
Team-oriented and client-service driven—you take initiative, follow through, and care about the quality of your work
