Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant | Downtown Office | $68,000–$75,000 (Hartford, CT)

A nationally respected law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support Shareholders and Associates in its busy downtown office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation professional to step into a vital role within a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and file legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Manage court deadlines, including calendaring and monitoring of all key dates

  • Support attorneys in all aspects of trial preparation

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain attorney calendars

  • Maintain organized client files and legal records

  • Submit intake and conflicts check requests

  • Assist with time entry and client billing

  • Provide support across the litigation team as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of litigation experience, with a strong understanding of Federal and State court procedures

  • Proficiency in e-filing requirements and litigation protocols

  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience with electronic document management systems such as FileSite is preferred

  • A flexible team player who can adapt quickly and support multiple attorneys effectively
