Job Description:
A nationally respected law firm is seeking a highly skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Tampa office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional to contribute to a busy construction litigation practice while supporting attorneys at an executive level.
What You'll Do:
Prepare, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail
Manage court scheduling for hearings, appearances, and depositions
Support attorneys with trial and deposition preparation
File documents electronically in both Federal and Florida State Courts, as well as with JAMS and AAA
Handle time entry, client billing, and expense tracking
Maintain and organize legal files, records, and electronic documentation
Submit new matter intake forms and conflict checks
Coordinate travel, appointments, and meetings; create agendas and arrange catering when needed
Manage attorney calendars and contact lists
Provide backup coverage to other legal administrative assistants as needed
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of 5 years of legal administrative experience, with a focus on litigation
Executive-level administrative support experience preferred
Construction litigation experience is a plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on shifting business needs
High attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive, flexible approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with electronic document management systems; iManage/FileSite experience is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:
The actual salary offered will depend on experience and skill set. Compensation includes a base salary, annual discretionary bonuses based on individual and firm performance, and profit-sharing contributions (based on eligibility).
