Job Description:
Our client, a global firm, with offices throughout the United States, seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Conflicts Analyst to join their Risk & Compliance team. This is a HYBRID role, working together with firm attorneys and others across the firm in connection with the analysis of new business opportunities to identify and resolve potential ethical and commercial conflicts in accordance with applicable rules of professional conduct and firm risk management policies.
The Conflicts Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the conflicts process. This position reports to the U.S. General Counsel.
Responsibilities:
Conducting conflicts searches and analyzing results to identify potential conflicts for new matters and parties
Reviewing closed and active matters to evaluate potential conflicts
Managing conflict escalations and advancing appropriate waivers
Confirm need for ethical walls to screen where necessary
Researching and assisting with resolving conflicts relating to potential lateral hires
Assisting with the testing and launch of Intapp
Working with US General Counsel, firm attorneys and Global Risk & Compliance Team
Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school preferred
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining high level of accuracy
Previous experience with Intapp in a law firm
Strong understanding of Rules of Professional Conduct and importance of maintaining confidentiality
Ability to respond to time-sensitive deadlines
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Proven organizational skills with a proactive attitude
Proficient in the use of Office 365
Excellent attention to detail
