Our client, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of experience supporting multiple litigation attorneys to join their maritime and insurance teams in their San Francisco office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious legal assistant to join a very busy and growing global law firm.

The annualized salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000. However, this is contingent upon the level of experience, practice group, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • File legal documents with both California and Federal courts

  • Maintain and manage multiple attorneys' calendars

  • Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and external parties

  • Manage schedules for court appearances, meetings, and deadlines

  • Prepare trial binders and assist in trial preparation as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in insurance defense/coverage litigation

  • Thorough working knowledge of and experience with electronic filing within the Federal and California court systems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)

  • Strong organizational skills as well as attention to detail

  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

  • Exceptional communication skills with both clients and colleagues
