Candidates should have a strong litigation background, including proposing litigation strategy; communicating with clients and opposing counsel; drafting reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions; taking and defending depositions; arguing motions; and participating in mediations and trials.

Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in California. Additional admissions in other states are a plus.

Attorney compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Salary is contingent upon level of experience, practice group, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Required experience

• Minimum of 3 years of law firm insurance defense experience

• Licensed in CA

• Excellent academic background

• Superior research, writing, and communication skills

• Organized and self-motivated

• Experience handling all phases of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and appeals.
