Job Description:
Our client, an international law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with 5–10 years of experience to join a dynamic, high-performing team. The team represents insurers in a broad range of coverage matters across the U.S. and internationally, advising on major and complex coverage claims, including pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defect, errors and omissions, excess liability, property, and product liability. This position can be fully remote or based out of one of the firm's many U.S. offices based upon candidate location.
Responsibilities
Develop litigation strategy for insurance coverage litigation.
Conduct complex legal research and draft high-level memoranda.
Analyze insurance policies and claims; prepare coverage analyses and recommendations.
Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings (virtual unless otherwise required).
Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals.
Requirements
5-10 years of experience with handling insurance coverage matters.
Experience with product liability policies is preferred.
Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Must be barred to practice law in one of the following states: NY, NJ, IL, GA, MA, CO, TX, MO, NV, CA, FL, AZ, or DC.
Demonstrated strength in legal research, writing, and analysis.
Proven interpersonal skills, with experience in leadership and mentoring.
Trusted to handle matters of a highly sensitive and confidential nature.
Skilled at managing multiple time-sensitive matters concurrently.
