Our client, a well respected full-service law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Austin office. The practice focuses on complex insurance coverage litigation and general civil litigation, with a primary emphasis on representing insurers and insurance companies in sophisticated coverage disputes. Candidates must be self-starters with a depth of defense litigation experience.

This position can be fully remote; however, candidates are required to attend court appearances as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from filing through trial.

• Conduct extensive legal research associated with cases, as well as draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings and discovery requests.

• Communicate with clients, partners and other members of the practice group regarding case developments.

• Attend and defend depositions, as well as appear at court hearings.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of defense litigation experience.

• Experience in handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts.

• Strong legal research, drafting, and document review skills.

• Proficiency in providing legal advice and client support.

• Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Must be licensed to practice in Texas.

• Solution-oriented with the ability to work well independently.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter.
