Our client, a respected AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking a Trust & Estates Associate to join their Atlanta office. Ideal candidates will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment handling sophisticated estate planning. Our client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities 

• Draft estate planning documents, such as wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts. 

• Support with the development and implementation of wealth preservation strategies, business succession planning, and family-office planning. 

• Support with the preparation of IRS Form 709, Tax Returns and IRS Form 706 Federal Estate Tax Returns. 

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning experience for high net worth individuals. 

• Experience with probate and trust and estate administration is a plus. 

• A degree in accounting, CPA license or LLM in Tax is highly desired.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter. Exceptional legal writing and legal research skills. 

• Must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
